Description
Commissioned by NMC Recordings for The NMC Songbook [NMC D150], and composed in 2008, Wild Clematis in Winter is a setting for mezzo-soprano and piano of the poem by Geoffrey Hill. The World Premiere was given by Jean Rigby (mezzo) and Huw Watkins (piano) at Kings Place, London in April 2009.
