Description

p>Sergei Chebotaryov's Triptych for baritone and organ set verses of the famous Soviet Jewish poet Aron Vergelis (1918–1999). The current edition is released in commemoration of the poet’s 100th anniversary. In this edition, after the sheet music of all three romances, an Appendix follows, in which the texts of poems are printed in Yiddish (original language), Russian (poetic translation) and English (free translation).

This composition was performed several times in Russia; it was recorded on a gramophone record (Pan-Union Recording Studio “Melodiya” in 1976). In 2010, Triptych was performed in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv by Israeli singer Shlomo Blumenfeld and Russian organist Lyubov Shishkhanova.
