David Amram to be honored at Gala Concert

On Wednesday, April 18th, the InterSchool Orchestra of New York will honor the career of David Amram. The orchestra which is comprised of 300 school-aged children from New York will perform a program that includes Amram's En Memoria de Chano Pozo, with Amram as soloist and Elegy for Violin and Orchesta conducted by Amram with special guest Elmira Dararova playing the solo.

The performance will take place at 7pm at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College. There are six orchestras and two symphonic bands run by the ISO that perform to over 9,000 listeners annually.
