This work is known to have been performed in 1731 and 1733, and although a score has not survived, a printed libretto (1732) by the poet Picander exists. There have already been several attempts to reconstruct this work, and using "parody" technique (i.e. borrowing and retexting movements from other Bach works), the harpsichord player and composer Alexander Ferdinand Grychtolik has created a convincing complete reconstruction of the lost work.
