Amram Receives Honorary Doctorate

20/04/2015
Brooklyn College to Celebrate NYC Composer
On May 27 at 1 PM, Brooklyn College will be presenting composer David Amram with an honorary Doctor of the Arts degree for his work as a composer, conductor, and performer in New York City over the past 60 years. From his storied past collaborating with Jack Keroac, Arthur Miller, and Dizzy Gillespie in Greenwich Village to his active present day performance schedule, Amram has been a major force in the music of New York and this honor comes well-deserved. He is also invited to be the keynote speaker for Brooklyn College's graduating class of 2015.
