The works of Georges Bizet have become staples of the operatic repertoire, and for good reason. Yet, despite their ubiquity, the materials available for them are often poor representations of the works as Bizet would have known them.
Thanks to the work of Richard Langham Smith on Carmen and Brad Cohen on Les Pêcheurs de perles we can now present these works in a more authentic form, and with newly typeset scores and parts. Both editions have already been performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Opéra-Comique and Teatro La Fenice, and are sure to become standard at many more houses all over the world.
