MusicPartner

MusicPartner CDs feature the orchestral or instrumental accompaniment (as appropriate) to a wide range of instrumental- or vocal-soloist repertory. You can be accompanied by a first-class orchestra or keyboard player in the comfort of your own home. All the recordings have been prepared with great sensitivity and attention to detail, and in superb digital sound. The performances observe period music practice, where appropriate. So MusicPartner CDs are ideal, whether you are preparing for performance or simply keen to take part in some wonderful music-making.

How to Order the Right MusicPartner Format:

• Editions beginning with Q ("Q-packs") include the CD and sheet music in one convenient pack.
• Editions beginning with MP include the CD only. Sheet music is available separately for these CD-only editions. To find the corresponding sheet music, replace the prefix MP with EP, N or H (for example, MP 4591a goes with EP 4591a).

Choral Singing: The Easy Way to Learn

Choral Singing: The Easy Way to Learn is a series similar to MusicPartner, but is designed to aid choral singers. The CD allows you to learn your part in two stages:

1. The music is initially played with your own part louder than the other voices, which are performed quietly in the background
2. Second time around your own part is omitted, allowing you to 'sing along' with the rest of the chorus.

Separate CDs are available for each voice. Orchestral parts are played on the piano. Please take note of the language of performance before purchasing. Vocal scores are available separately; you can find the correct edition number by exchanging the Choral Singing prefix (MPC) for EP and omitting the suffix (for example, MPC 8719a goes with EP 8719).

Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music

The ABRSM catalog contains a variety of CDs, including guidance performances and 'play-along' tracks. Available CDs include collections of recordings of their examination pieces, recordings of the contemporary works in their Spectrum series, the Tunes in their jazz instrument program, and the accompanying narration for their children's Composer Lives books. Achieving Success, a guide on how best to prepare for your ABRSM examination, is available on DVD.

Play It!

Additional 'play-along' CDs are available from Famiro's Play It! series. Each Play It! CD includes both normal and slower tempo recordings, making them appropriate for both students and professionals. Unlike MusicPartner, however, only some of these CDs were designed to accompany the Peters editions of the printed music. The specific accompanying edition is listed in the additional information for each CD; only the Peters editions of the print music are purchasable through C.F. Peters.

Young Classic Editions

Peters Young Classic Editions include the sheet music for titles from the standard repertory chosen for their suitability for young pianists, and come with a CD of performances of the works by emerging artists. For about the same cost as a full-price CD, a student pianist will have both an excellent edition to perform from and inspired performances to guide their own.

Orchestral Excerpts/Test Pieces

Peters also offers accompanying CDs for their Orchestral Excerpts/Test Pieces for Orchestral Auditions series for winds and brass. The recordings present the complete excerpt, and the specific instrument is NOT omitted.
