Aldridge/Garfein PARABLES East Cost Premiere

On Sunday, December 11, 2011, the the
University Singers and MSU Chorale, with professional soloists and instrumentalists, Cali Camerata, and the MSU Symphony Orchestra will present the 2011 Beatrice Crawford Memorial Concert featuring the East Coast premiere of Robert Aldridge and Herschel Garfein's powerful symphonic oratorio, PARABLES. This work which received its premiere last year in Topeka, Kansas was commissioned by Douglas and Andrew Reeves for the Topeka Symphony Orchestra. It weaves together passages from Christian, Jewish and Islamic texts into an exploration of faith.
