Naxos issued two new CDs of music by Peters’ composers Chester Biscardi and Robert Aldridge. The first, entitled In Time’s Unfolding, features eight tracks of chamber and instrumental music by Biscardi including the Da Capo Chamber Players performing “Di Vivere” and Marc Peloquin’s piano work on the title track. The second release is the recording debut of Aldridge’s operatic adaption of Elmer Gantry. This recording captures the second-ever fully staged performance of the opera by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra under the direction of William Boggs, the Florentine Opera Company, and Keith Phares as Elmer Gantry.
