The performance, conducted by Steven Schick, opens the 2011-2012 season at Miller Theatre. This important and highly anticipated performance brings together an impressive array of creative minds and performers including producer Mary Sharp Cronson, the International Contemporary Ensemble, and Ross Karre who will contribute to the visual components of the performance. The cycle of nine individual pieces, which was composed over a period of nearly 30 years, features diverse orchestration that incorporates live electronics and a technique that is as visual as it is aural.
