The New York Philharmonic will be performing ADITUS by Erkki-Sven Tüür on February 24, 25, 26 and March 1, 2011. Paavo Jarvii will be leading the orchestra for this New York premiere. Tüür began his musical career in Estonia with the rock group “In spe”, and he is reunited here with one of his band mates, Jarvii. Since his time spent in the most popular rock band in Estonia, Mr. Tüür has established himself as a major force in the contemporary classical music field. His works have been performed by BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Münchner Philharmoniker, NDR Sinfonieorchester, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Symphony Orchestra and now the New York Philharmonic.
